With your class to our museums

Musea Brugge is delighted to welcome classes from all levels and grades of education. The following information will help teachers to plan their visits.

Groeningemuseum met je klas Groene Pluim Musea Brugge

A museum is so much more than a storehouse for works of art and other valuable objects. Above all, a museum is a place where you can come to enjoy art and artefacts, whilst also discovering what they have to tell us about the past.

Our programmes offer a mix of do-it-yourself, experiencing and learning through play. There is something for children and young people of all ages in nursery, primary and secondary education. Borrow a museum chest, book a workshop from the Museum Menu or play a game tailor-made for your class at a historic location. In this way, your museum visit will gain a whole new dimension!

Practical information

  • You need to book an activity at least two weeks in advance via our website.
  • Take due account of temporary exhibitions, which may result in the temporary unavailability of some locations. To avoid any unpleasant surprises, please feel free to contact us.
  • Most of our activities for schools are free of charge. The range of products has been devised so that teachers can easily carry them out for themselves, without the need for a guide. A detailed manual provides plentiful educational and learning material for your visit. Access to all the sites of Musea Brugge (with the exception of the Belfry) is completely free of charge for schools.
