Climbing the 366 steps of the Belfry is quite an effort. We recommend visiting only when you are in good condition.

Tip: reserve your time slot for each museum you want to visit via this page. We certainly recommend this for busy locations such as the Belfry.

Did you buy a ticket +26 years, 18-25 years, 13-17 years, 7-12 years or -7 years? Then proceed directly to the museum checkpoint. You may be asked for your identity card.
Did you select a Ticket Reduction or a Free Ticket? Then bring your proof to the museum ticket office, where your ticket will be activated. Without the proof, you will have to pay a surcharge (up to a +26 year old ticket).

Due to this limitation, no group rate currently applies. The permanent collection is not on display during the two exhibitions, with the exception of the Memling collection. Come and discover the permanent collection again from the autumn of 2023, in the refurbished Sint-Janshospitaal.
Accessibility
The lift of the Sint-Janshospitaal is out of order for a longer period of time. We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience. Are you coming with a wheelchair? The lower halls of the museum are accessible, our employees at the entrance will gladly help you. The attic is only accessible by stairs.
