Between May 8th and October 24th 2021, the Bruges Triennial 2021 will offer the possibility to explore contemporary art and architecture.
Every three years the Bruges Triennial brings contemporary art and architecture to the historic city centre of Bruges: a unique setting and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the 3rd edition of the Bruges Triennial 2021: TraumA twelve artists and architects will show new, ephemeral installations in the city.
The theme for the Bruges Triennial 2021 is TraumA. From May to October an enticing trail, studded with international installations, takes us to places that switch intriguingly between fantasy and reality, between delusion and actuality.
Since 2015 it has built further on the series of triennials put together in 1968, 1971 and 1974 that brought visual arts into the public domain.
Musea Brugge has two locations available.
Triënnale Brugge is an organisation of Brugge Plus vzw, Musea Brugge, Kenniscentrum vzw en Cultuurcentrum Brugge, commissioned by the City of Bruges.
