We are open on public holidays. Exceptions:

  • 24 & 31 December: all museums close at 4 pm
  • 1 January: all museums are closed
  • 25 December: all museums are closed
  • Ascension day: all museums are closed in the afternoon
  • Easter and Whit Monday: check the location pages to see which museums are exceptionally open

Good to know

  • Entry possible up to 30 min. before closing time (Belfry: 60 min.)
  • A museum may be closed for exceptional reasons (works, dismantling of an exhibition, etc.). Check the location pages for more information before your visit.

Tickets and entrance charges

Musea Brugge counts 13 locations. You will find all the rates here or per location. You can buy tickets at the box office or online. We recommend booking your tickets in advance. Online tickets

You can buy your admission tickets online to be sure of your visit. Visitors who have free access (children, Bruges residents) or enjoy a reduction can also book online.

We also offer tickets at the box office. You can buy tickets for all our locations in the museum pavilion at the Gruuthusemuseum, in our central museumshop (Dijver 16) and in all our museum (except for O.L.V. ter Potterie and O.L.V.-kerk).

We offer free audio tours in some of our museums. You can follow these tours on your own device (smartphone or tablet). Be sure to bring headphones or earphones to listen to the audio. Scan the QR code in the entrance hall and off you go.

  • Tickets cannot be purchased by telephone or via e-mail.
  • An e-ticket cannot be changed, exchanged or cancelled after payment.
  • If a museum cannot be opened due to 'force majeure' at Musea Brugge, the visitor will receive an e-mail and will receive a voucher with the value of the ticket purchased (valid for three months).
  • Please note that all information is subject to change for compelling reasons.
  • You may be photographed or filmed during your museum visit. These recordings can be used in our communication. Please report any objections immediately to the photographer/cameraman.
  • There is also permanent camera supervision in all of our locations.
