During the darkest days of the year, Salon Arents houses artists from De Tank. For three weeks, Salon Arents will be their pop-up studio, where they'll work on a mix of artworks and installations. Starting with a blank canvas on 17 December, they will gradually work towards a full studio. Curious about the creation process of these artists? Be sure to drop by.
The Tank, Het Entrepot's studio operation, is moving. The artists are exchanging their studios on the Burg for a new location in Bruges. In this transitional period, the artists ask themselves what happens when an artist has no studio. No studio, no art?
The residents temporarily move into Bruges' most inspiring salon and install their open studio with print shop and presentation space here. Expect a dynamic workplace and ditto exhibition with a mix of sculpture, painting and drawing, graphic work and installations. Through a Big Brother wall with camera images, you can peek inside some of De Tank's current studios.
The studio doors will be open every day, and on Saturday 7 January we invite you to a panel talk with some fascinating guests (TBA).
The artists in residence are Florien Allemeersch, Théo Collie, Gilles Dedecker, Els De Roo, Matthias De Wolf, Eva Dinneweth, Peter Lagast, Els Lesage, Dajo Van den Bussche and Leen Vandorpe
