De prent is gemaakt door Giovanni Battista Piranesi en maakt deel uit van zijn reeks La Antichità Romane. Het is de tweede afbeelding uit het eerste deel (John Wilton-Ely, Giovanni Battista Piranesi. The Complete Etchings, nr. 309).
