Notitieboekje van Jan Garemijn, directeur van de Brugse Academie, daterend uit het schooljaar 1772-1773. Het boekje bevat 39 folio’s met aantekeningen en schetsen, gemaakt tijdens dit schooljaar. Op 27 oktober startten de lessen, met het tekenen naar model van de eerste actie of pose. Hierna volgen nog 26 acties, waarbij de pose gewoonlijk om de drie dagen wisselde. De modellen die poseerden waren Percyn en Jan (Van) Oost. Garemijn schetste hun poses in zwart of rood krijt, houtskool, grijs potlood of bruine inkt. Het gaat soms om snelle lijntekeningen, andere keren werkte hij de schetsen uit met aandacht voor schaduwpartijen. Op het einde van het schooljaar berekende hij de uitbetaling van de lonen voor de modellen (18r). Hieruit blijkt dat hij ernaar streefde dat beide modellen even veel konden poseren. Na enkele blanco bladzijden komen ook verschillende leerlingenlijsten aan bod. Hierbij schreef Garmijn letters en nummers, wellicht verwijzend naar de rangschikking bij wedstrijden. Naast de klassen naar model en sculptuur, die wel vaker in zijn notitieboekjes aan bod komen, bevat dit boekje ook lijsten van de klassen naar prenten en compositie. Achterin het boekje zitten ook twee lossen bladen. Een blad bevat de in het boekje ontbrekende 26ste actie. Het andere blad is een klein, dubbelgevouwen papiertje waarop de de ranking van de wedstrijd om prijs per klas genoteerd staat. Het boekje zelf heeft een kartonnen omslag met een flap achterin. Hieraan is een koordje bevestigd zodat het boekje omwikkeld en beschermd kon worden. De bladzijden werden rechtstreeks aan de omslag genaaid. Op een van de eerste bladzijden schreef Garemijn zijn ex libris, met de vermelding dat de eerlijke vinder beloond zal worden als die hem het boekje bezorgt.

The Sint-Janshuismolen is not very large, and for safety reasons, we can only accommodate a maximum of 25 students per half hour. To ensure that all students can explore the mill, we will divide the class into two or three groups on-site.
A part of the group will have the opportunity to view the mill from the outside, while the other part can actually enter the mill. After a certain time, the groups will switch so that everyone has a chance to see and experience everything.
