In the previous room you discovered how men relaxed in the 17th and 18th centuries, but what about the women? They don't work outside the home, the ladies from the better circles. But that doesn't mean they're bored! They receive guests, organise the household, keep track of their correspondence and have hobbies such as drawing. In addition, they regularly visit the dressmaker, so that they can go to the ball or to the theatre wearing the last fashion.
In this room you can browse ladies' possessions from the 18th century. You can even touch their wigs and try them out if you want. In the room there is also an installation to make shadow portraits. The artist doesn't need a lot of talent, just a model that can sit still.
