Brangwyn was one of the most productive graphic artists of the 20th century. He wanted to use his graphics to make art accessible for everyone. Musea Brugge has kept about 500 etchings from his hand. On this etching we see the wreckage of the old training ship Britannia being dismantled. Brangwyn had a penchant for industrial settings: ports, work sites, factories, and stations. The lines are powerful, the light-dark contrasts striking, and the size is noticeably large.
